On another board I visit, the way info got collected was by the initial poster saying how many/what sort, then the nest poster copied the list and added his/hers to it, and so on.

Last time I looked, it had 9 Border Collies, 9 Dobermanns, 3 ESS, etc.

That way, we ended up knowing the numbers of ALL the dogs owned by members. Oddly enough, there were NO Staffies there! And as well as 9 BCs, there were 3 collie X as well!
