Ruby is always being mistaken for a Spinone - I don't get all defensive. As for your comments , the fa ct people ask if your dogs a doodle is because they are obviously better known and more popular to people.

Yes - My Gundog cross gets called all manner of things by people who don;t know better.

Thats Just very sad.....any over population of breeding is going to end up with overflowing rescue centers. The LAST thing anyone want is that for their chose breed or type

No one insults the dogs - as always they are the innocent victims.

So you don't like Labs, GSD's, Poodles etc then? As for your last comment, I imagine then you must rile people for trying to make them look stupid whilst making yourself look childish.

Without poodles there wouldn't be any doodles - btw don't you know your breeds genetic history??? You should go and check; all dogs including Poodles are crosses but mostly MONGRELS!!

I suggest animal-lover, Elmo and anyone else who have crossbreeds or doodles have no further involvement with these threads anymore because after all these sad repetitive people just want a reaction so without it these threads will fizzle to nothing.
Does that mean that I have to ignore them as well - as I have crossbreeds but do not agree with the practice??

May be you should think about how you come across Instead of playing the 'Its because of the dog I own card' which I knew you would do. Course we all love our dogs.
Perhaps you should look at yourself then too.
We dont ask for our dogs to be slated or called designer dogs,at the end of the day aren't all dogs designed by humans.
I own doodles yes,my choice,my choice how much i paid for them,my choice where i bought them.
Some shed some dont, but in a house full of Border Collies it doesn't matter to me.
I dont kid myself i know they are crossbreeds, never call them anything else.

You could say that about alot of dogs not only doodles.
Perhaps breeders should stop breeding completely, and clear the rescue centres.
Lol but that wont happen will it....no cos of the money!

You might like to explain yourself a little bit there .. Look at myself? what am I looking at my self for exactly? I havent brought a designer breed (nope but we've seen the mess of It through fostering), I havent gave my money to an uncaring breeder that only breeds for profit and the like, nor have I been rude on this thread or made anyone unwelcome.. So please! what am I looking at my self for.. thanks.

ermm well we both know that If I could cross post, posts from our earlier forum days that second part of your post would be proven wrong. But still, glad you now know their cross breeds.

and for what Its worth, Hairless breeds Including mine are slated all the time. I mean come on they have won the worlds ugliest dog comps how many years now!? Its peoples opinions they do not bother me, If people like them or slate them. as long as what they are posting Is the truth let them get on with It. Doesnt affect my love for my dogs, I cant understand why people get their knickers In a twist so badly at others opinions.

I do not have a problem with the crossbreeding as much as the fact the new owners are not informed that they may not get what they expect (perfect temp and non shedding).

Yes you could....but to openly state you want overpopulation is just plain silly.

Again....I say I have NO problem with responsible breeding, health, temperament etc.

I have a problem with reckless and OVER breeding to demand.

Can I just say that this little pup belongs to a family friend. Her father was a health tested Poodle and her mother a health tested Cocker Spaniel. She cost £400 and her mother's owner is a physiotherapist who has just bred her pet for the second time. She made no profit out of either litter, just did it for the enjoyment of producing them. This pup is house trained already at 12 weeks and incredibly well socialised, much better than my GSP at that age, who came from a professional breeder. I'm not expressing an opinion about the ethics of such cross breeds just trying to balance some of the claims being made about ethics, health and cost.

Must have been a small litter If she didnt make a profit at £400 per pup.. Mums had some of her KC registered, health tested pups from good show lines Yada Yada go for less than that..

Anyway at least she health tested. not that I agree with breeding for enjoyment let It be crosses or pure bred.
