I hate it when I see clearly old dogs who can't walk too fast getting dragged along behind the owners who seem intent on going faster than is fair on the dog.

I also hate seeing pups being pulled along (usually next to a pushchair....nothing again pushchair walker btw) and their feet barely touching the ground.

I wouldn't give my dog a sharp tug on the neck because it would send her into a coughing fit.

i have given my dogs a quick tug on their leads only when they are pulling really hard ,they dont like the halti type leads and i dont like them either .it is a quick tug and a sharp heel and they seem to settle down, anyone who stops me in the street to give me a piece of their mind need not bother my dogs are loved, well looked after and very happy .ive seen dogs walking on their back legs pulling on their leads correcting them with a tug must be an improvement surely?
