I totally agree, I was so looking forward to reading it after all the hype and thought it was a bit disappointing.

TBH I prefer Joyce Strangers books about her dogs!! (and cats)

I have just finished reading this for the second time, I loved it. I just bought the children's book that John has written - A Very Marley Christmas, and saw in there that a film will soon be released - can't wait! I read in Cesar's book that Gracie was a bit of trouble and that they had to call him in to sort her out. So pleased she is doing well now.

I enjoyed the book and the film looks good. Looking forward to it!

Hated the book but will see the film. Is the man the one out of the film with the police dog where the man is babysitting a neighbours son and the dog turns up???? Very funny film who's name escapes me!

The PR machine certainly 'hyped' the book too much. Also I was shocked at Mrs. Grogans reasons for getting a dog in the first place, and at her attitude to Marley at various times. (Gushing & lovey dovey when he was in a film but wanting rid of him when she had some problems of her own) I can't help feeling that had it not been for John Marley would have had a much shorter life

Unusual since it's generally the women who wants to keep the pet.
