A kitten turned up at my friend's house about 4 years ago. She took it in and kept it after no response to an advert. It has always been a very cheeky and gets up to trouble and one day after he surpassed himself she said "that's it, I'm calling you 'little s**t'".

And the name has stuck (we both don't have kids so no issues with setting bad examples). He is such a little character, having settled in with her other cat, GSD and countless fish - and he rules the roost in her house now.

lol@this post!

I met a man in the park the other day who had this little fluffy type dog called Baby! He explained that his daughter named it when she was 9 and now she's off at uni he's left behind to walk it!! I bet he gets some really weird looks when he stands there shouting baby, baby!!!

My late dog was called Luke (short for Lucas). He was a very dignified dog and looked like he deserved a distinguished name so I sometimes used to call him Sir Lucas of Lovely, or Lucas Ghastly-Horridlumps.

It seems that I only use my dogs' proper names when I'm telling them off but they have so many nicknames and they're just so stupid, I have to share. Starting with the oldest (and long departed) up to the two current creatures:

Sheba (Afghan) - Sheeby Beak-Face
Barney (Yellow Lab) - Barney Barney Bear Cub
Fred (Black Lab) - Frederick the Bear (sang to the "Rupert" tune)
Suki (Great Dane) - Suke-a-Lee, Suke-a-la, My Old Bitch
Bumble (JSI) Scrumble Bumble Bear, Little Legs, Dorian
Mishu (JSI) Meeeeeesh !
Ted (JSI) - Teddy Boy, My Handsome Boy, Eduardo, Eddie-boy
Roxy (JSI) - Poxy Roxy (I don't mean it!), Roxy Doodle Dumpling, Doodle, The Dude, Lumpy
Lennon (JSI) - Len, Lennie boy

There was an old guy I knew when I was little and he named his big Dobie boy Tiny.

I thought it was hilarious when he shouted it to come to him and the look on peoples faces when they saw him galloping towards his owner!! Bet they thought he owned a little Yorkie or something!!

my mum wanted to call our old dog, harry, mussolini. we already had the cats, adolf and trotski. we're lucky really takara became takara and not some other dodgy leader.

the only reason harry ended up as harry was because dad refused to shout mussolini across the park
