I used to love the old Black and Tan GSD. They were mostly Police Dogs. That seemed the only choice, in my day. Then i would see the odd sable, which facinated me. I chose Max, because of his " Foxey" colour. ( plus he looked so sad, in the rescue!) Then Jeager chose me. I was fascinated by his silvery Sable, and after i had walked him at the Rescue, he would not go back in the kennel. He just wrapped his front claws around a post. He didn't want the kennel lady to take him back. He wanted to be with me.Then, i just fell in love with his beautiful face! As it happened, he turned out to be a beautiful colour too!

The only particular colour I am drawn to is Weimaraner grey; thus I have my Slovak! plus I have had lilac (aka grey!) cats, hamsters and gerbils. I find it very aesthetically pleasing.

I do not like solid white dogs or merle coloured dogs. I am also not a fan of light coloured yellows; almost white Labradors, Golden Retrievers, etc.

So I suppose I prefer dark, more traditionally marked dogs. A mismarked dog wouldn't put me off though.
Yes, it is Emma's dog!

With regards to bi coloured GSD's...When I was a kid there was a black standard coat GSD that had tan on it's legs/paws and he was a stunner, is this bi coloured?

I've always liked Mia's colouring Ben Mc. and that collie you shown in the pic is lovely.

Same as Moobli () i prefer traditional markings on collies and the dark sable on GSDs.

I was never going to have a longhair, nor another bitch.

The reason I got her was that I lost her aunt a few weeks before (shorthair) to torsion.

Margaret Holmes offered me a pick of the litter SRHP however as I had never seen two the same, I opted for the LH litter whose background I knew very well and came from a long line of successful working dogs on both sides.

She was bred by my friend who campaigned her litter brother.

Yes, certainly sounds like it.

I like unusual colours---but having Celt has more or less cured me of liking the lilac

I prefer more dark colourings usually, but I find Fizz's white growing on me.

Loving that spaniel and love brown Gordons as well.
