He couldn't of been bitten when you were out with them both the other day could he ?

Did you say it was around horses ? I am wondering if he has been bitten by a horse fly.

As certain as I can be that we have not been near any snakes (he has been on lead and very short pavement walks, and it was quite cold and windy at the horse show and I never saw one horsefly or any fly there at all to be honest. Its a possibility but I wouldn't have expected 2 dark marks or holes like that.

Definitely two holes. I took my glasses off and looked closely and no doubt they are holes.
Lily said thankyou for her hug, she will sell her soul or mine for a bit of fuss from anyone!

Now I know this might sound daft...... but could it be a spider bite....?? A few years ago I put my trainers on and felt a sharp something, emptied my trainer and a small spider fell out . I had two marks on my little toe and it soon went 'funny', very itchy and uncomfortable feeling. Took a couple weeks to go. it went very sore and red, very angry looking . This was in my sitting room at the time, no other explanation other than the spider in my trainer. Now I know there are no poisonous spiders in this country, but the doctor thought I may have been allergic to this particular type of bite, which is feasible as I am very allergic to flea bites.

Whatever it is I hope he soon feels better.
xx

Well thats a distinct possibility as obviously like all houses we get spiders.
Thats made me go all cold as it must be a big spider to make those holes if it was one.

The vet rung about Kyiro tonight as she had the specialist report back on his x-ray. It wasn't really very helpful so tomorrow she wants me to take Kyiro in to see one of the other vets as poor lad is in so much discomfort on that front foot when he tries to walk and that is on the Carprodil.
I still feel it is something in the foot. It has never got better, only worse, since having that grit removed from the pad and although lame on grass and indoors on the carpet now (which he wasn't when the grit was in there), he is more lame on smooth concrete and on rough concrete or stony bits he can hardly walk at all.
Lily also keeps sniffing at the foot, in fact the pad that had the grit in it.

Not sure if anyone is actually following this, but incase you are another update.
Kyiro went and saw the other vet this morning and his wrist joint is most definetly not bending as it should and doesn't have much range of movement. But he says he still has the hole in his pad and when he squeezed it, for the first time ever Kyiro squeaked.
So this vet wants him in Tuesday when he is going to have to cut into his pad and try to find out what is in there that is not showing on the x-ray. He said he will then put him on a very long course of antibiotics.
So everything crossed for Tuesday that my poor boy can finally get to walk pain free again.
