Tuesday 9th January 2024

Morning all. Yep life gets interesting when you least expect it. Keeps us on our toes. Listening to radio 4 this morning, the farming programme and yep I have never given it much thought about starlings other than I love watching them but they cause so much damage to farmers crops and the feed they use for their livestock. Which is why our food goes up in price. Anyway hope you all had a good evening and will have a good day. Sadly the snow has all but disappeared. Never mind it isn't everyone's choice. Word for today:Frug, something to keep you warm from the 1960's

Good morning Brenda

I loved watching the starlings who seemed to be never ending like Sparrows when I was youg never considered the farmers weird how one thing/species imapcts on another with out us giving it much thought.

Not much up today new neighbours opposit my front have moved in just seen the odd light on and someone putting up blinds and now fixing the sensor llight at front door.

Good evening all

It was a quick run to the cafe and back this morning but it was still a fair to middling walk for Ted. It was way too cold to go up on the seafront unfortunately

Gary's turn for a 60 mile round trip for a hospital appointment today for neurology in respect his fits. New nurse today and she was a vast improvement over the last one. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly the interpreter never turned up which I did protest for all the good it will do

She got Gary to agree to have another camera in his living room because at the moment, if anything happens, no one will know.

She's also suggested I get his GP to refer to mental health because of his increased mood swings.

Sounds like a visit worth making there Chris. At least if the camera goes in he can write and complain to her and not you

Chris, sounds like a productive visit, hope the GP follows instruction.
Kazz, god, you must be nuts going swimming, hope to god it wasn't wild swimming!!
My uncle was o.k, we had a very brief visit.... literally a quick cup of tea and he was off. I then saw one of the bus drivers I used to see when he was around here, bless him, always tells me how pretty I am, he always laughs at how different I look to when he met me.
Hope today has been a better day for you Lynn
Sue, leave the leaf clearing, far too cold!!!

Mad is as Mad does Griff; so yeap suspect I am no not wild swimming, merely just normal swimming trying to improve the movement in my shoulder after the wrist incident.

My nephew who is working in Germany says they have introduced compulsary mask wearing again in certain public areas.
