St Bernard Fate

A work friend of mine used to have a St Bernard. The dog lived to a very good age. When she passed away, they wondered about getting another. When they heard about the rescue ones (Taken off that breeder), they enquired but no joy. He was walking down the street the other day and there was a lady with a St Bernard walking towards him and his child. They stopped to stroke the dog and say hello etc. She told them that she was off to the RSPCA, that she had split up with her OH, she tried to sell the dog but noone came forward so she was donating the dog to the RSPCA. The dog cost her £1000. My work friend asked how much she wanted for the dog. She said £500, he arranged to meet her later , she with the dog and paper and he with the money. He is now once again the owner of a ST Bernard.

Talk about meant to be.

Let's hope the dog is now set for life - it certainly sounds like it. Destiny!

Brilliant news. Did the RSPCA say why he couldn't have one of the rescue ones. I would have thought that with nearly 100 to rehome, homes wouldn't be that plentiful?
