Felix, Indy & Oliver (Border Collies)

Hello,

I had these three out for a lovely walk this morning. It was one of those walks where you have a fantastic time and they are impeccably behaved with everyone you meet . Plus Felix and Oliver had a mad game of zoomies which was lovely to watch as -
a) Felix was running, spinning and ducking with no trouble at all.
and
b) They have been a little tense with each other whilst Olivers been going though his adolescent stage, no fights or anything just not as close as they were, in the past couple of weeks though they're getting back to the their 'stuck-together-like-velcro-can't-have-one-without-the-other ways

Couldn't resist snapping a quick picture of them on my mobile!

Felix is the blue merle, Oliver the red and Indy the black and white.

Thanks for looking

H x

Have you thought about putting that picture on a canvas and selling it - it's beautiful. I love Felix what lovely markings. And the other two as well, I am a BC lover so I'm not one to discriminate

Aw thanks everybody .

Must admit I am very pleased with Oliver he's turned into a lovely affectionate boy, very laid back and cuddly in the house but very 'up-for-it' with training!

Thanks SLB Felix is my little star

What were his parents - Blue merle and B&W?
I met a BC once a mum and daughter, mum was B&W dad was red merle (I aksed) and their daughter turned out blue merle, I found it interesting.

I do think I will add him to my list of dogs to steal.

Yep Felix' Dad was blue merle Mum was black and white. Olivers Dad was red tri and Mum blue merle. If both parents carry the colour/merle pattern then pups can be a different colour to either parent. My first dog was a yellow Labrador who had all black relatives up to about four generations back
