But the baby did not die alone. I do not even know if it was a little he or a she but it was not left alone - I remember saying do not move it until you speak to my Vet, and one guy was just sitting there stroking its head.

I think I knew it would not make it but I did not want it left to die alone, and to be gently pts if it could not be saved.

I do not know who these guys are, but I am so very grateful to them - all of them. Because the baby was not left alone from when he/she was hit until passing, and they could have so easily just driven away and left the baby to die all alone.

But he or she was surrounded by caring people and I hope that feeling carried him or her through passing.

Because in those few moments left of life, he/she was loved by the guys who stopped and cared when they could have so easily just driven on.

Oh how very sad but I am glad that those people cared enough to stop and help and the little puppy had people there to comfort it.

Poor little puppy, I am pleased that the young men cared enough to stop and try to help.
