FANTASTIC photos. It is a real treat for me to see an "unusual" breed herding sheep My initial sheepdog mentor wanted to train my GSD on sheep for his demos, but unfortunately she didn't have the right drives.

More photos please. Gorgeous dog too.

Thank you all for your interest. I should credit K Sahlsberg for the shots, often lying in the mud in the path of oncoming ram lambs
After lambing is over I hope to continue, I'm still learning a great deal every time I go out with her. Credit to Ilo for being sufficiently adaptable to work with the shepherds too.
I will try for more shots but may have to wait for awhile....I'm not good enough yet to use a DSLR and guide Ilo at the same time!

Fantastic photographs Mary and great to see a different breed herding sheep . I guess the breed is more used to herding Reindeer ?
(PS Any pictures of your other dog Taki, did I miss them? )

Wonderful photos, Mary. Ilo is a real stunner, and clever to boot. Brains and beauty - who could ask for more?

Mini, Thank you!
Yes, they historically herded reindeer in Lapland but are not particularly fussy!
Taki (from Cambodia) has made guest appearances (and been placed!) in the virtual companion show in AV crossbreed and AV head. If its not against the rules here are a few more links to pics of her
