Meet my new....er piranhas!!!!!

Long story short they were my nephews and he can't take them to his new flat. So who is the family mug for animals??? Yep they moved in last week. So I now have 9 red bellied piranha. Anyone else got a few?

My friend used to keep them. He could never face feeding them live fish, so would buy dead sprats from the market, stick them on a skewer and make pretend that the sprat was swimming.

The size of the bites these fish can take is truly awesome.

Just make sure you keep them well fed - they are capable of going for each other when there is insufficient other food.

Yes, I too am uncomfortable with the idea of live food! So they have been having prawns and things like that. So far so good they have left each other alone so I'm hoping the balance is right!

I've not put them on a skewer yet, must give it a try

Oh they look pretty, I would have been a sucker too and taken them. Not sure about the feeding of them, I am guessing you can't make them vegetarians not sure I could feed them live bait either

Love them hun........but you can look after them not sure I'd like the feeding live either, I'd be there with my fishnet and be scooping it back out
