A great day out!!!

We took Bongo along to an Irish terrier show today, just as a spectator, and had the loveliest time. I think dog shows have a bit of a reputation as being stuck-up and stuffy, but this was so far from it I wanted share a different perspective!

Bongo spent half her time playing with another puppy, and the other half being cuddled by everybody in the place (exhibitors, organisers, judges...) We got to chat to experienced owners to swap stories and get tips, and prospective owners to tell them all about this wonderful breed. Lots of the people we talked to were really impressed with how Bongo's turning out, regardless of her crazy ears, and were keen to know more about her background.

What a lovely change of scene for a Sunday outing - spending a bit of time with the breed you love, and with people who understand why you love them

I'm not surprised she was being fussed over even if there were lots of other IT around. Not that we are biased or anything!

Sounds like a great day out Duboing all those beards

..how old is Bongo 9 months, terriers ears often settle back down when they finish teething don't they .

When Minis are teething you leave the hair on their ears to give them weight and just scissor round the edges.

Berger - thanks, I'm a bit biased too

Mini - there were some stupendous beards on show Bongo's only 6 months, so plenty of time for the ears to flatten out, just keep your fingers crossed

sounds a great day out. Suki is going to spend the day with some other Dobies in a few weeks as part of her socialisation training - I'm looking forward to it too as we find it difficult to get other owners willing to let her socialise with their dogs.
