My dog is not a monster !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

im so angry just been to the park where my dogs run around off lead playing they will not consider going up to another dog on the park unless i give permission yet a elderly gentleman who has a jrt just allows his dog to run up to any dog with out any consideration my male staffie blanks other dogs as mention but any dogs giving it the big one he will put in there place i asked the gentleman polietly to not allow his dog just to run up to mine and wind them up doesnt bother me its off lead he has as much right as me on the park but not for his dog to hassle mine he didnt like this and this shows how narrow minded some people are as he said my male staff should be kept on a lead muzzled because staffs are dangerous baby eaters i am so angry any dog bites though not his yappy in your face jrt apparently

Actually, if dogs are running round off lead, I always assume the owner wants them to socialise.
This is fairly normal. If an owner doesn`t want dogs to approach theirs they usually keep them on a lead.
Many people take their dogs to a park in order for them to play with other dogs TBH.

tis true, if your dogs are off lead then etiquette dictates you are telling other owners your dogs are ok to be approached by other off lead dogs.

if you have a concern, the normal thing to do at the time is put your dog on the lead and walk in the opposite direction.

im happy for my dogs to socialise but not for random dogs to run up to them my dogs are great with each other but not with all other dogs especially when they come up growling and barking they have the right to be off lead with out dogs running up to them theres no reason for them to be on lead but wont let then socilise with dogs when there owner can not control them and my dogs def wont be playing with a dog who owner classes my dog as a baby killer and dangerous when all my dogs want is a walk off lead without hassle

im not arguing but dont agree my dogs wont approach other dogs and just cause there of lead doesnt mean they should be able to be approched i dont feel they need to be on lead when i can control them

Baby eaters WTF (i hate this term)???? I think thats rubbish - not to many years ago it was in the papers about a JRT mauling a baby ANY dog is capable of hurting a child/person but they shouldn't be branded as 'baby eaters', just shows the old man was just being a Old uneducated fart!

There is a yappy in your face Staff by me, owned by somebody like yourself who "thought" his dog wouldnt go up to other dogs, sadly one day recently it did, the on lead 14yrs old NONE yappy Jack Russell thats never hurt a fly died 2 weeks after the Staffy attacked him! PLEASE do not label dogs, and assume your dogs will always do as you tell them.
