Good Mia, poor Mia

Debating whether to post this or not, I am not having a go at the guy, he is a friend who made a mistake

Yesterday I was walking my two and we met up with a friend with one of the GSD's that Mia dosent like
They have just got a puppy (gsd) who Mia loves so as we met up Mia was all happy to see the pup and ignored the older dog
so we decided to walk together
When we got to the park Mia and Ben were really bouncing for a run so the guy said to let Mia off and he would put his dog back on the lead
Mia, Ben and the pup zoomed around and had a blast, Mia ignoring the older dog on the lead
Then after a while I cliped Mia back on and the other dog was let off to play
all good
the other dog was even getting quite close to Mia and Mia was just ignoring her

then the guy said to let Mia off again and he would clip his on
fine, Mia zooming about playing with the pup
The older dog was getting a bit barky with Mia playing with her pup, but Mia was ignoring her

the owner said 'oh she is only wanting to play' I didnt think so but I cliped Mia back on cos it wasnt fair on the other dog getting all wound up
Ben and the puppy were still trying to play with Mia so I was having trouble keeping the lead clear, I look up and the guy has let his dog off and she is charging right over

I try and step infront of Mia - and get my leg bit (from the GSD) in the process then she pounces on Mia and starts attacking her
The guy pulls her off

We check them over - GSD has a gash on her nose - think it was when the guy was pulling the dog off. I think Mia is OK
We walk back together and the dogs are OK, Mia is a little timid and not wanting to play with the pup, but gentle about saying so, just turning her head away - of course Mia and the gsd are now onlead

Thankfully it dosent seem to have put Mias training back any, she met new dogs today and was fine
but Ben was sniffing at her and I found she has a puncture under her chin

poor girl! I wish other people understood their dogs a little better! this guy thinks his dog dosent have problems. She is a lovely girl but is a bit reactive

Ouch poor Mia, it is hard when others don't fully understand their dogs. All you can do is learn what owners know their dogs faults and all.
Hope Mia's wound heals up quickly
Hugs to you and Mia

Thankyou
Puncture is healing fine, but today another dog went for Ben and Mia, no injuries but totaly unprovoked again
So tonight they were both barky and unsettled
Over a years worth of work getting Mia calm around other dogs hopefully not down the drain!!
