HELP- the dogs eaten a chocolate cake!

my dad is a vet and was called out to calve a cow at about 4 am. he usually takes me with him, as he doesnt like me being on my own and i snooze in the car but i have been sick recently and needed some rest, so he left me. i always close the door to my bedroom to stop faith getting in...but she did. recently i had my birthday and i didnt know my mum had put half a chocolate cake in one of my bags. faith must have managed to open the door and eaten it during the night...

she was sniffing the bag and i saw the empty chocolate cake casing...i knew i hadnt eaten it all
im really worried...she not fully gorwn and that was alot of chocolate!

Get her to a vet as soon as possible - better safe than sorry!

Agreed with the above. If your Dad is caring for other animals, please get her to another vet. Hopefully there's nothing to worry about but chocolate can cause so many problems for dogs it's better to be safe than sorry.

Let us know how you get on and how Faith is.

We had some dogs steal some hot chocolate once...we rang the vet who have us some signs to look out for....but they did the same....they were hyper for about 1 1/2 hours then came off the high and went looking for more!
