Can you believe, Rocky was 3 years old a few days ago!? It seems like only yesterday when he discovered how much he loves playing with empty water bottles!:
Awwwwww.... how cute : - ) But let's not forget he is the king of destruction round these parts... shoes...boots... CD's... DVD's.... Doorframes... Staircases... Bedding... Mobile Phones... wardrobes... cats (no just kidding!)... hose pipes, flowers/plants, plastic bowls (only silver (or steel!) bowls will do for his highness!).. jeans... shirts... ok, you get the picture! Basically anything that could fit in his mouth would not be able to survive the wrath of Rocky! But hey you know what? None of it matters because he's matured into the bestest of pals ever!
In fact he's like my baby - and I'm sure the vet's think I am doo-lally when I speak to Rocky all sweetly softly when I ask him to be good for Mr (or Mrs) Vet. God knows what the people on the streets think... I often talk to Rocky on our walks - I'm not sure why, but I get the feeling he likes it - and it takes his mind of the traffic which I know he's not too fussed on. But hey who cares if the neighbourhood thinks I'm mad? I don't!
So anyway, he started off as a cute pup, then went on to become a naughty teenager, and is now settling down as an affectionate, considerate and intelligent young dog. And I couldn't ask for any more of him. (Well ok, maybe not to do those smelly farts!)
He's a muscled beast, that's for sure. I think you're absolutely right; some things have to be tolerated, as without them, it somehow feels you wouldn't have the same dog.
It's right what GSDLover says - you have to go through the "norty" stage of total destruction (I'm still in it with Lennon) before you get the wonderful calm adult dog at the other end. Lennon turned two last month, and has calmed down a lot, but still has flashes of mischievousness that have me giggling wildly behind my hand so he can't see.
Awww, It has been absolutely months since I've seen photo's of Rocky, and what a joy to see him once again. You really should post more Azz! (consider yourself told)
Thanks for sharing this with us,as its nice to hear about him and I will certainly look forward to the follow up...
