Help!!

hi im a bit worried my 10 and half month staff has eaten 2 or 3 amoxicillin tablets my daughter left them on table and then caught him chewing them will he be ok ?

hi
try not to panic,amoxicillin is used with dogs as well as people.he should be fine,as long as that is all he has eaten

Give your vets a quick ring - whoever is on call will be able to tell you straight away whether or not it is an issue

it was deffo 2 or 3 at most caught him before he eat other 3 . he is with pdsa not a local vet ?

2 or 3 at what mg......he will be fine im sure,if anything he might throw them up......you can still call a 4hour vet for advice doesn't matter where you are registered,although im sure the pdsa have a 24hour line too.

500mg tabs are quite a high dose for a dog but he should be ok. may get loose stools for a day or so but they do use amoxicillin in dogs so I wouldn't worry too much. As has already been said...check with your vet but I'm sure it'll be fine.
