Slow cooker Cookbook

I actually bought the recipe book before I bought the slow cooker - because I wanted to know if I would use it - and do I ever!
Currently I have a chicken curry cooking away in mine.

Anyway, I read that some of you girls are looking for a book.
Mine was written by Catherine Atkinson, called The Slow Cooker Recipe Book ( over 200 recipes )
and it has recipes not only for stews and casseroles, but for pates , soups, roasts and cakes too!
It also explains how you can make up your own recipes, with do and don't hints!

I actually paid only £4.99 for mine - as it was reduced in a local garden centre. I think they are normally about £12.99

Thought you might like a nod towards a good book.

I've actually ordered two books from Amazon:
"Slow Cooking Curries and Spicy Dishes" by Carolyn Humphries and "The 150 Best Slow Cooker Recipes" by Judith Finlayson.

I'll let you know what they're like.

I think I'll start a new thread we can all post our fave slow cooker recipes

Thanks Pat! I searched on Ebay but didn't find that one as obviously they didn't include the author.
If they have any at the garden centre grab me one, let me if not and I'll keep an eye out at the library.

Sorry girls - too good a book and too good a bargain !

had a quick look on Amazon and they do have the book with their marketplace sellers, from £8.

Thanks so much for trying, Pat - that was really kind of you. I saw it on Amazon, but am going to wait and see how my two work out before I take the plunge......

Thanks again, hon xxx

It was a real hardship going, Vicki. I had to fight with myself - do I want to go to a garden centre, or do I not?

Hopefully your books will be ok, and Becks will find one in the library soon. x

I actually bought some beef to cook tomorrow, so I'm just going to throw it in there, along with some mixed peppers, tomatoes and stock - here's hoping it'll be edible.......
