the belt I got from Snowpaw store i reckon you could flippin abseil in and the lines that go with it are more than capable of hanging on to an errant bully trick is to keep the belt low on your hips (which some of the cheaper ones ive seen arent designed for as they are more waist belts) the belt and lines should set you back about £55ish from there and are very robust!

The leads designed for running also tend to be shorter but "elasticated" so you don't fall over them or get jerked around by the dog, they will adsorb impact

I've tried a jogging lead with a bungee bit
http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/dogs/a...nicross/113654

I ended up removing the bungee bit in the end.

I have also used double ended training leads. The Halti one has a ring just at the right place to make a loop round my waist; the other one I have doesn't, but the clip easily clips around the lead itself securely.

From all I've tried, I use the double ended training leads around my waist. If your dog pulls hard you would probably benefit from a leg/bum harnesss CaniX style. Whatever you use. I'd definitely recommend using a comfortable harness on the dog that they can't back out of. I have whippets with deep chests and narrow waists; the Ruffwear Webmaster harness is the best I've found for this because it has a third strap around the skinny bit of the waist.

I also use the double ended leads around my waist for walking as well as jogging because I like having the option of hands free, especially with two dogs.

I have two different belts, Eurolite from Canix and a heavier, more substantial belt I bought from Snowpaw. Both have handled two boisterous husky/gsd mix dogs at once with no sign of wear and tear yet.
Enjoy your jogging
