Puppy scratching

My puppy is 11 weeks old and always sitting down to scratch and bite himself. He has been flea'd and wormed and due to be done again in 8 days. Is this normal? Can I worm/de-flea him too often?

Hello Linda in addition to doing as Rough suggests I would have a good look at the skin for any signs of a rash or inflamed areas .
What are you feeding our puppy on?.

ETA I see you are new to dog ownership To test for fleas stand your puppy on a white sheet or similar and brush him. If any black specks fall off place one on a damp tissue, if the mark left turns reddish brown this is likely to be flea dirt .

+ 1 to Mini
When we got Bentley I assumed he had fleas, same story as you. So I was treating him. Then one day someone asked me if I had actually seen a flea (Bentley is 85% white) and that's when I realised that his food didn't agree with him and was giving him itchy skin and a rash.
He was on Science plan, we changed to Royal Canin but no real improvement. We then cut out wheat and went to Fish4Dogs and Jameswellbeloved, we've not looked back
Hope you figure it out!
