Car accident _ I'm on the road again!

I told you of my car accident - my fault.

Finally I've got my car back again!

Took over two weeks.

Last Friday, they told me it wasn't "quite" finished.

I asked what had to be done?

Would you believe that after a fortnight, they told me that my "pinstripes" hadn't been put on the car?

I very gently assured them that I could drive the car without pinstripes.

Took my car home - drove it around - it wasn't really unbalanced.

The "pinstripe" man wasn't due until Wednesday, so I had advantage of my car for four days - without the stripes of course.

Now I have the stripes - the car repaired and after a fortnight without it!!!!

Bliss!

Robbie,
That's great news, I bet you've been driving around just for the fun of it. Here in Europe (Well most of it) driving is no longer fun, traffic jams & road rage are just part of the 'nightmare' (Road tax & petrol prices are the other bit)

I see in your profile you don't say what make your car is. When I was in Ozz I had a Holden, do they still make them?

Yep, they still make them - in V6 or larger cars! Of course they've made the smaller - more compact cars! It's one of them I hit! It folded up! Looked like a tissue paper!

The repair man said that they are made of egg shells!

Look too hard at them - or merely touch them, they fold up!

My beastie is a 1986 model - when they made cars out of metal, instead of out of plastic!

Of course, these days, it costs more to replace metal than it does to replace plastic.

I'm mobile - I have less than 2100 miles on - and I am feeling rather confident again.

Can't keep me down too long.

Thanks, the one I was driving was a good solid beastie. I liked it and I do know what you mean about modern plastic & tinfoil cars.

Enjoy your motoring and do keep us all posted about your lovely doggie.
