Where do you get your fish from?

My 2 love fish but i only get tinned mackeral or sardines with oil in as i dont really know where i can go to get decent fish.
We dont have a fish stall in louth or grimsby, there is a man who sells fish and i've asked him and he looked at me gone out lol
Can dogs have any fish?
Is it something that i can get from asda i.e the frozen fillets or is it better fresh?
Do i cook it or give it to them raw (i know some fish has worms )

Thanks guys x

I feed fish 3 times a week - I feed oily smallish fish for the omegas - so I feed mackerel as it's cheap for me, although any of the oily fish are fab.

I feed smallish fish 300g or less as theory is the smaller the fish the less pollution it absorbs; whether true or not I have no idea!

I think you can feed virtually any fish actually, including shellfish etc.

I can only get frozen fish, so that's what I buy - I can get it with heads on and complete with guts which is the best way to feed, gutted/headless is ok yet not as good as complete!

Oh, and avoid fish from the west coast of America (I understand it has some sort of parasite).

And I read somewhere to freeze all fish first, but would have to look up the details of that - maybe someone else will know.

And yes, feed raw complete with head and bones!!!

I get sprats for my staffy and feed her about 6 at a time.

I give Bryan whole mackerel or sardines - head, guts everything all raw. Bryan will only eat frozen fish (Ibuy it fresh from the supermarket and freeze it myself).

I only feed oily fish as I think that's got the best value nutritionally. Whole mackerel etc. are quite cheap.

There's no fish stalls in Grimsby? Could you try the docks? there used to be a fish market there I presume there still is or maybe a friendly fisherman could help.
