I was always told that pulling back on a lead only makes the dog more determined to pull forward?

Well done Jenny and Indie pulling can be a nightmare with staffs Jas used to be awful I have them both in harnesses and on a double lead and if any pulling starts they get a quick jerk, if it continues I jerk and stop walking they know that it won't be tolerated as I'm not very big myself. However yesterday as we were going round the corner at the end of our road we encountered a squirrel they both went to go after it I don't know how I didn't end up on my a*se... must have been a funny sight I was there for ages before it was safe to move off without being pulled over lolol

You are not alone . I am only 5ft 1/4 tall myself lol. I have come close to being pulled off my feet before, never quite pulled right off my feet tho. Thankfully not a regular occurence
