My Crazy Sunflower

I planted some sunflowers in little tubs this year, and have been transplanting them to bigger pots as they grew up, and then finally into the garden.
One of them has grown a lot bigger than the rest, and has produced so many flowers!

I counted 10 heads on it the other day!

Here are the open heads so far:
Theres 6, but one is growing from the back of the big one!

From another angle:

Another that has flowered (the others have no heads on yet - they are still growing):

Wow Hevvur! They are magnificent We bought some and forgot to plant them

Susan, I think the height depends on the variety and the environmental conditions, so they might not block out all your light

Great sunflower Heather-unusual to have so many flower heads!

For a laugh-try growing 'Russian Giant' next year-it lives upto its name...

All of mine are from the same packet - 2 have grown to over 6 foot, some are only 2-4 feet high, and one grew all twisted!
