Country shows and Game fairs

Who else enjoys a day out at their local Country Show or Game Fair?

I really enjoy the local agricultural shows - especially getting up close and personal with the heavy horses

Perhaps we may be able to get a few Dogsey member meet-ups at some this summer?

Oh yes, one of my favourite things in the summer!

It's nice to do a dog show and then have something else to do afterwards.

We attend both our local Agricultural Shows every year.

I show my produce from the garden (fruit and veg), my culinary skills (baking), OH's camera skills (photography) and last year I started showing my birds and eggs.

We've been fairly successful with everything actually. I've got 1st for baking, eggs, fruit and veg and lots of 2nds and 3rds for things as well.

We go and watch our friends show their horses at the shows as well (Arab and Shetland) and have also shown the dogs as well.

I love them - although the stress of getting everything ready for Show Day is sometimes a bit much!

I love them too. The favourite that I've been to was the Lowther show - I spent ages watching the gundogs retrieving across the river. Unfortuantely it hasn't been held for the past 2 years because the bad weather completely ruined the ground

I'd happily come for a day out with you at any of the local ones Kirsty

We always head for the one at Chatsworth at the beginning of September - spend too much money, stay too long and then all go home tired and happy.

Love watching the scurries Don't really like the craft tents

Yes they are great. We are lucky to be near to Bucks county and Herts county show and not far from a few others.
Great days out.
I love watching the working dog displays they have. As well as all the horsey things of course.

We used to go round them a lot - doing agility, but to be honest - if I am not getting there at silly o'clock - it is a nightmare! SO many people, but they are great for socialising pups!
