Just wanted to add...

to anyone reading this thread who is thinking of maybe getting there first pup.


Really really consider insurance. Work out the costs that you may have to pay every month, every year of the dogs life. If you can afford it please please get some. If you can't what would you do in my position.

Jess is 14 months old.

so far we have had nearly £900 skin problem vet charges.

£300 small operation to remove 3 grass seeds.

£500 for sedation and x rays re arthritis diagnosis and if her knee needs an operation it could go into £1000's.

She also has an under shot mouth, and suffered a phantom pregnancy just recently so i will need to spay her in the near future.

I have no idea what i would have done if i had no insurance. If you have thought about insurance but put it off maybe this is food for thought so to speak.

I can vouch for that too, tobys meds cost in the region on £40/50 a month, without routine test along the way.
Theres nothing worse than having a dog that needs help and the worry of the cost involved.
