So sorry to read this H, I really am, its just so hard at the time, isn't it

At least he has learned how to have freedom, mutual respect and lots and lots of fun and loving since going to live with you though and now your doing the last thing you can, purely for him.

I completely "get" what you are saying though. When their your own pets and you really know them, you just 'know' don't you. At least this is him your thinking about, and for what its worth, if anything, from the way things sound, I think I would be thinking along the same lines as you and Dave are here. Doesn't make it any easier though does it.

Gather together all your strength and give him the great send off he deserves.. Selkie angel walked into the vets with a smile in her eyes and a wag in her step (and a bar of chocolate in her tum). It was the hardest decision I ever made, but it wasn't the worst day... I have some good memories of that day as odd as it seems and I know in my heart just as you do, that the time was right...

Selkie will be waiting to greet him as soon as he passes. She will show him all the best places I promise...
