Meh - nothing wrong with having them outdoors, if I wasn't so attached to Louie - he'd be outdoors - the plan was that when we moved to our own house - the dogs would be outside when we were at work anyway (but being unemployed - they quite like the sofa now)

I do like them though - the wind must blow straight round them - rather than into them like ordinary kennels?

Fabulous sheep, Kirsty. They look just cracking!

Brilliant photos of your life, of which I am only marginally jealous (despite the hard work).

Haha - my pooches all live in the house I don't have anything against dogs living outside, but just prefer to have mine in. Wouldn't be so keen on having a large gang of working collies in too though, especially after a wet day on the hill

The barrels are completely water and windproof. The estate are paying for a new kennel block to be put up though which is very handy ... just have to convince OH to use them

Thanks Steph. Ben certainly is growing fast

LOL - not sure your gang would be very impressed with their new abodes, after a life of luxury

Thanks Vicki. Despite having been a shepherd down for the past four months the sheep are doing really well

Wow brilliant photos, that last photo is stunning, could win competitions!

And look at all the heather on the hills, wow! There was a lot up in the Cairngorms, felt oddly a lot like the Yorkshire Dales at times!
