Maybe if you report it Valandra you'll find out if others have too, so if that is the case then the dog has a history of bad behavoiour and the authorities will deal with it, you won't feel so bad about it if you know your not the only one its happened to...

I cant be 100% I'm not a expert have had friends years ago with pits and they look exactly the same. I do know its not any other breed, that's legal in this country. I also know a few people now, that have them and have been told by the Vet. If they get pulled in for having a Pit, to say its a Boxer cross staffie, as this is the breed most likely to look like a pure pit Don't agree with Vet but, hey that's another story

I would report it, whatever breed of dog it is. As others have said, it doesn't sound human aggressive, just an unlucky bite but this muppet obviously has no control over it. This dog could seriously injure another dog, another owner trying to defend their dog or be injured itself.

This dog may or may not be a pitbull, it would be almost impossible to tell. The fact that they are banned in the UK does not mean they are not around. There are few people in this country entitled to have a gun, but they are around.

Remember the documentary after little Ellie was killed, the reporters visitied groups in Norway and Ireland who had fighting pitbulls and they actually brought that one dog into the country and were filmed walking through Liverpool with it in broad daylight.

And just for the record, I have nothing against any breed of dog.

well i reported it to the council. they sent me thro to a really nice woman to talk to. as i didnt really know who he was or where he lives she took a description of the man and the dog. where abouts it happened, and what exactly happened. she said to take photos of the bruises and the bite mark. also keep note if any hospital care was needed for my aunty. as she is working 12 hr days i cant seem to catch her in since the accident.

one other person has reported a similar dog on the same field. she didnt go too much into that incident tho, but said that the dog was still on the lead when it happened.

she has really put my mind to rest, and said that if one more person reports this dog they are going to do an investigation on it. must be a 3 time rule or something. but im unsure of how they would go about it as they dont know where he lives.

Well done you, for taking the trouble to report it. You let them worry about tracking him down.

Well done for reporting it. Ollie is a BMD and people think they are all fluffy and friendly Ollie is too some people not to others, I know and am aware of this when on the fields he is walked on a harness and long line so I can stop him if we do not know the people or the dog. He is then put in a sit and waits calmly till they have passed he was well socialised as a pup and yet has a tendency to be grumpy towards some people and some dogs so in all circumstances he is under my control. Firstly because he is my responsibility and I love him and secondly because I would not want to be responsible for an out of control dog that could do damage to a human or another dog.
I hope your Aunt recovers soon and the pups do not suffer from any fear in the future.
Schuh I hope your Friends Father recovers soon I would be mortified if any dog of mine caused such injuries.

It is terrible what happened and then to go on seeing the owners son kicking it good on you for reporting it at least if at the least it has been noted and if it were to happen again there is records of it happening before.I also know how it feels to have your puppy attacked and its like your own child, you feel upset angry and very protective,i the same as you would have sheilded it whether it was the wrong or right thing to do.It is under my care and love and i would protect with my life.I also think its no different to dogs protecting there pups.I almost feel sorry for that bull dog if its getting kicked in public like that i dread to think what he puts up with at home.
Hope your aunt feels better soon.
