Its one of those things. Try not to worry they were obviously out of sight otherside he would have known it was a collision not a fight.

Hope the whippet is okay, it is one of those things....a pure accident.

It was not your fault. These things happen. Whippets don't have a very high pain threshold and was possibly just winded and bruised. If it trotted away that is a good sign.
