How fights start ( 3 dogs - 1 toy)

There are other toys in the yard but one toy that is shared by all is a big stick. I don't know who found it first or who brought it into the yard. They don't fight over it, at least not directly. In the pic below, Diego (on the right) has the stick and is chewing it. Dora (on the left) wants it but hopes that if she ignores him, Diego will get bored and walk away. Stella can't wait for that to happen so she begins a divide and conquer strategy.

Her first move is to attack Dora. It quickly escalates into a silly girl fight and they both fall down laughing.

This has the desired effect of boring the stuffing out of Diego, who tries to ignore them but eventually abandons the stick and walks away.

Dora is first to notice and takes possession of the stick and Stella sees her mistake. She is not really happy with the outcome but after all, its just a stick.

It is really hard to deal with these dogs. They don't seem to take anything seriously.

Brilliant, loved looking at those pics, yes you are right, dogs like fun play just like any creature, what I enjoy most is when they do play even if there's a few growls, it's all about interaction and building up a 'pack' mentality, so that if danger ever does come (Unlikely in your home) then they are all going to be on the same side.
