Heartworm in Lancashire UK

Hi

I know that lungworm or heartworm isn't a real problem in the UK (happens more in the south) but my vet has informed me he has just had his first case.....dog was a working dog that has never been out of the Lancashire area.

Seems it is moving up the country.
