Wow what odd colouring. Wonder if he's got a wee bit Highland cow in him somewhere. Those red ears...very unusual though.

Wow!! Jamie would love her... he adores cows and insists we pass the cow fields on each walk, at least twice She is funky!!

I've tried to find out what breed they are, but with no luck so far. The rest of the herd look very similar to the black and red (well, brown) beef cattle that are very popular and common in these parts. I'll have to keep on searching now cos I'm intrigued!

She's actually a he! Most cattle are no problem once you know how to handle them (unless they've got calves, then you can be in big trouble! ). Plus this herd is the only one I've ever come across that are frightened of dogs, the only reason they got so close was because there was a fence between them and Isla!
