Lime Scale

whats good for getting lime scale off from around bath taps ? i can remember seeing something on one of these keep your house clean programmes , but cant for the life of me remember what it was

Bicarbonate of soda, distilled white wine vinegar and lemon juice are all good for removing limescale

I soak a dishcloth in vinegar, wrap around the taps overnight and the limescale will dissolve was off , it won't damage the surface like some things do

the cheapest just malt.. the acetic acid in it neutralises the alkaline in the lime scale, so as Mel says lemon juice will work too but vinegar is cheaper and you need to soak the strip of cloth well...makes the bathroom smell like fish and chips though

i am going to try that, my bathroom sink taps are awful, Cilit Bang hasnt touched it so i will do this 2 nite

Cilit bang is rubbish We have very hard water and I find Viakal spray to be a godsend
