Obedience Award Brag

Thursday night at my dog clubs annual awards dinner, Moxie and I were awarded the highest honor of the evening. The JoAnn Werner Yuttal Memorial Obedience Award. We won for the highest average three consecutive qualifying obedience scores for our three in a row back in August at the ASCA show where we earned our ASCA CD. This is quite an honor for us as we are still such a novice team compared to all the great dogs and handlers that have won this award in the past 18 years.

We have a big plaque that we get to keep for a year, then we get a smaller plaque to replace it at the next annual banquet. I'll take pictures in the morning and post them.

OH! I almost forgot the best part, Moxie is the first mixed breed dog to win the award (though she isn' t the first rescued dog). So Moxie is representing crossbreeds everywhere. I'm so pleased!
