Higher ISO will allow you to select a faster shutter speed.

Example
iso = 100 shutter speed 1/60

iso = 200 your shutter speed will be 1/125

iso = 400 your shutter speed will be 1/250 and so on.
There is a price to pay with your image appearing more noisy.

I seriously love both! What shutter speeds were you using out of interest? I love the frozen in time look but also the more 'alive' look of the slower ones, fantastic!

To freeze the action you need at least 1/800 (depends on the speed). Picture no. 5 it was 1/1500.

For the last picture it was 1/25. That is very slow. Normally 1/60 will do. (for running dogs)

It's the "panning" technique.
