GrowingStages of larger breeds Azz you made me think of this

Do all large breed types, molossers, seem to stop growing around 8 months, and then start again around 10-12 months completing growth by 2 or 3? I noticed that with the Presa I watched and Tigger also. Tigger especially seemed to grow the most between 1 and 2 years. Excluding the puppy phases from birth to 5 months.

Is this typical of the larger breeds?

Hi Barbara, dont know if it applies to boxers, but Star grew quickly until about 8 months, then you hardly noticed anything until about 1 year then she shot up a bit again.

Mia was the same, she grew really fast up until about 8-9months then seemed to stop, then when she got to about 1 year she had another growth spurt, people say she is growing again now, but i cant see it, i suppose being with her everyday you dont notice as much.

They seem to stop gaining height for a while at around 8 months and start filling out a bit, so still growing but outwards rather than upwards!!

Willis grows up then out then up again then out again and then up...and out. And he's still doing it. At 2.
