Police man and Police dog stabbed

5th October 2016: "A police officer and his dog have been stabbed while trying to apprehend a man suspected of robbing a taxi driver at gunpoint.

German Shepherd Finn was stabbed in the head and chest and handler PC Dave Wardell knifed in the hand in Denton Road, Stevenage. The seriously injured dog underwent emergency surgery. The officer was treated and discharged." Full story http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england...herts-37561331

Do you think that attacks on Police Dogs and Police Horses should classed as assault or attempted murder in the same way that the law covers such attacks on Police Officer? Finn's Law http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/n...ures-1-7623244

I think its the height of cowardice to attack any animal in that fashion, never mind a dog and its handler.Hoping Finn recovers and doesn't pay the ultimate price for his loyalty

PD Finn is making a remarkable recovery. The petition only needs another 1000 signatures now so anyone who hasn't yet signed, please do.

Great news! The petition has now exceeded 100,000 signatures and so the matter will be debated by Parliament.
