A walk in Haldon Woods (Boxer)

I bought a new lens for my camera yesterday so we thought we'd take Monty out to Haldon woods and do the 3 mile circular walk. Unfortunately it was quite foggy so not the best photo opportunities but not too bad for my first attempt with it!

If you look closely at this one you can see drops of drool falling!

It was a tad foggy:

We thought a yeti was emerging from the fog at one point but turns out it was just Monty:

Run away:

Found me a stick!

Spotted another dog:

The fog cleared a bit so he did some exploring:

And some hide and seek:

I see you!

Then we stopped for a picnic of turkey baguettes and a mug of tea:

Was a brilliant walk and Monty is currently crashed out in his basket in front of the radiator!

Thanks for looking!!

Fantastic pictures - unfortunately all our walks have water and with ours being daft we can't let them off - which doesn't allow for fantastic action shots and I can't use my new camera

That second picture should be framed! He looks gorgeous in it! <3

We're lucky that Monty doesn't really do water or at least doesn't do swimming so we're not too restricted when walking unless there are sheep about!!

Sadie and Benjie like to chase the ducks til their belly touches the water - Louie (spaniel x lab) will happily dive straight in

In fact he tried to chase some ducks the other day - and his recall didnt work, he's normally brill at recall - new place though I suppose and he still is a puppy. So he fell in a gap in the - my OH went to rescue him - thankfully it was thick enough to hold 13 stone, Benjie followed slid a little then jumped in the hole then Sadie - my clever girl thought she'd chase the ducks around the hole - she isn't stupid!

But they're OK and we're OK - it could've been worse but until the ice has thawed - they aren't going near any lakes or water!

The second picture is beautiful - nevermind the drool - adds character

That sounds very sensible! Monty ran on the frozen canal the other day because he saw a stick on it, fortunately it was so thick it didn't break and he came straight back but i'm not taking him there again until it thaws properly!
