Beac/walking holidays

Hi.

We are looking to go away later in the year, but have no idea whatsoever of where to go.

I would like a big(ish) beach, but with grass/woods/fields as well (all walking distance of where we are staying prefereably).

I would also like it no more really than about 4 hours away from Birmingham as the mut is extremely noisy in the car, so couldn't put up with much more lol.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Ta

Norfolk is fantastic for walking dogs. We have the most amazing sandy beaches that go on forever with lots of woods and fields. Try the North Norfolk coast - Holkham and Brancaster Beaches are the best for dog walking. Holkham beach is lovely and it also has a fantastic wood walk next to it. Shouldn't take you four hours to get here either!

http://www.angleseycottageholidays.co.uk/index.html

We stayed here last year, in the smaller property.
It doesn't have an enclosed garden, but it is 5 minutes walk from a beach (that is sand/shingle/rock)....the beach is VERY quiet...just bliss...you are also next to the Anglsey coastal path (not for the fainthearted...we didn't do it, too scary and high!!!!!!)

Anglsey has lots of beaches and walks.

The only downside to this property/beach was the fact that it faced a nuclear power station (that isn't working).....but the joy of an empty beach at 6am each morning....well....

We've just got to be careful with the amount of time spent driving as Jess isn't a quiet traveller shall we say lol, so looking at driving max 3 hours.

I would like to come to Scot borders one day with her though

I was thinking about Derby, but would really like somewhere with beaches and grassland/woods.

I'm looking at going to Derby randomly one day just to go on a nice ramble with mutley
