Yellow Discharge

I have a 10 week old female Labrador Retriever. She has a yellowish discharge and it comes and goes. I have read too many things... they all say different things. Is this normal? She is playing, eating, sleeping and seems normal. Please help.

Hopefully it is nothing sinister, but you should get her checked over by your vet to make sure.

If you are going back to the vet to have your second injections I would tell the vet about it then. If that is a few weeks away or your not doing initial injections I would book the dog in to have a full health check anyway. Pups can be prone to urine infections as they can squat close to the ground. For your own peace of mine get her checked out

It sounds like she may have a juvenile vaginitis, get the Vet to have a quick look, usually if it needs treatment they ca give something like Streptopen to treat it topically.

All I can add is, yellow's not good, it's a sign of infection. Get her checked out, she may need some anti-biotics. All the best.

Got her to the vet today... Vet said it was Juvenile Vaginitis and that since she was normal (eating, playing and everything else) he said not to worry that it would go away.

Well done you for getting her checked out, and thank goodness it was nothing too serious. Well done.
