Give me an ordinary lead ANY DAY. I hate them flexi things. I'm sure they must be good for some but I only recently tried one as Billy Bob arrived with one (and a harness). He now has a normal collar and lead but is learning to walk to heal off lead also. When he arrived he did nothing but pull on the blessed thing. Loathed it (just in case you can't tell)....Perhaps it's just me

I HATE Flexi leads, quite often they do not lock when you want them to and I feel they can be dangerous.

I use a flexi if I am walking somewhere I am not allowed to let the dogs off the lead, but never by the road. I just dont trust them to 'lock' properly if the dog lunges. Not that I am neurotic or anything

Depends on the walk. Recently been using a long line, with an ordinary lead to get to and from the beach. Chris likes the flexi, and I use it for exploring new places.

All my leads are Flexi's. I have no problems. I guess I'm just used to them....
