Wilson the budgie.

You may remember this thread about our new budgie:

http://www.dogweb.co.uk/showthread.php?t=32544

I found him dead on the bottom of the cage about an hour ago.

He was OK earlier, or so he seemed. The boys have taken it remarkably well, although this is difficult for them to understand - with Teasel the hedgehog they knew she was very poorly.

We have had enough birds now to realise that sadly some do seem to die suddenly and for no apparant reason.

Aww so sorry Trish - he was such a beautiful bird as well - what a shock for you Did you notice his tail flicking up and down when he was sat on the perch or did he sit on the floor of the cage at all for periods of time or sit ruffled up because thats usually a sign of a sick budgie.

Aww they aren't really noisy Molly - I have two in the living room and they don't make much noise at all. Cockatiels are noisy though.
