Hara - 7 year old - Black Female Greyhound

Hara is a lovely lady of 7 years young and 26" to the shoulder made her way to us via a trainer in September and ran 16 races before being retired and passed over into the care of KGUK. Since then Hara has been lucky enough to have lived with a wonderful foster Mum and is now looking for home to call her own. Her coat was very dull and lifeless to begin with but with the TLC received she apparently just gets shiner every day! She is a friendly and loving ray of sunshine who cant wait to wake up in the morning to simply give you the attention you deserve! Hara is a delightful girl who truly does have the X factor and will make a wonderful new family addition.



Location: Foster home in Hertfordshire.
Key Points: Stable and confident. Very friendly, oving, good to travel, great with other greyhounds, clean in the house, walks well on lead, very trainable, not yet assessed with small dogs although has been good whilst out in public.

~ Personality ~
Generally: Friendly, bouncy, happy and confident.
If Hara were a person she would be a tomboy! She loves human company and really doesn't ask for much in life other than to be loved and is always sure to greet you with a hug and a waggy tail. Hara currently resides with 3 other greyhounds varying from 11 years of age to 4 and gets on brilliantly with them all. She greets other dogs politely and thoroughly enjoys her walks to then return home for a much needed doze.



~ In the Home ~
Generally: Housetrained. Quiet through the night. Non destructive.
Hara is a doll to live with and will ask to go out to the toilet when she needs to. She has recently found the sofa which she thinks is absolutely heavenly so it it would be lovely if this were allowed in her new home.

~ Other Animals ~
Generally: Very good, non-confrontational, excited by cats.
Hara is great with other Greyhounds and has so far been good with small dogs whilst out on walks. She will pull on the lead if she see's a cat running but her foster Mum has taught her that if she pulls she will have to stop and then wait patiently to continue her walk which she is responding to very well indeed although she would prefer a cat free home.



~ Out and About ~
Generally: Loves to be out on walks. Greets other dogs politely and likes to say hello although can get excited if other dogs are overexcited. Can get stressed and pant when travelling. Very trainable. Great on the lead unless she see's a cat and may pull (please see above).

Hara does get stressed when travelling and pants a lot, she will need several breaks so that she can drink water.



~ Where Am I? ~
Hara is currently in a foster home in Hertfordshire. She can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a homechecker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to her foster home to meet and collect her.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Hara is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

Hara is still waiting for her forever home.
