My Veg (picture heavy)

The garden is mostly grass and flowers, so the veg is grown in containers. Enough for two of us and easy to look after.

Potatoes.

Beans

Carrots, that I forgot to thin out

Beetroot

Cucumber

Strawberries

In the greenhouse behind the strawberries is Tomatoes and Chilli peppers.

I'm looking forward to it all growing and ripening

It all looks very healthy and very well organised. I love the beetroot containers! You shouldn't get any rootfly problems with your carrots then, as it's thinning them out that attracts the b*ggers (or so my old ma tells me).

You wont have to buy much veg this summer
It's a great idea to plant in pots, I wish I had grown my potatoes that way, Charlie has just dug them up for me

Ooh, looking good Nippy

We have Tomatoes in the greenhouse/cold frame type thing we have, we are also growing Beetroot and Spring onions in containers and have a number of strawberry plants as well, and all are doing wonderfully well at the moment we have many small green toms. on two different types of plants, two plants are the cherry type and one plant is the normal size tom. (whatever that is these days ) our strawberries are two different varieties as well, one is mid season and one late season, the only thing is the lates are ripening before the mids but they've never lasted long enough to do anything with as, as soon as they are ripe, they get picked and eaten while still warm

They are all looking brilliant

Clive wants to have a go at growing veg, on a small scale but I think this years gone too fast for us and we haven't had a chance to even think about it properly...maybe next year

Looking good Jen.

The waiting is definitely the hardest part when it comes to veg growing. The only thing I've got ready to eat at the moment is lettuce and I'm not a big fan of the stuff!!
