Wide stair / dog gates

We are looking for a pet gate to keep Motley in a certain area so the kids can have a friend over that is scared of dogs.

The openings we would use are both 113cm but the widest i seem to be able to find is about 102 cm. I have found some beautiful ones on a site called Orvis but they are all voer £100 I was thinking more like £30 - £40!

Any ideas?

As a last resort, have you considered attaching some batten to the inside of the door frame, which would reduce the width enough for a normal stair gate to be used?

These are good, tall and you buy extensions, will fit fine.

All of these can be bought with extensions too.

Have a look at the Bettacare Child and Pet Gate.On their website they are on offer in their xmas sale.
I have had several lindam gates only to find the handle mechanism to break on every one so i searched for other makes and a couple of years ago i came across the Bettacare range and i can honestly say that the quality is a lot better and they are cheaper aswell which is always a bonus.....Cheers..Ian.

That's what I did. I bought one off ebay for £10. It's absolutely fine.
