Help cut paw.... updated with pic

Hi guys

luna have cut her paw. Have checked for glass and rinsed. She isnt urting or limping... BUT as its snowed and been below cero in degrees, there is "roadsalt" on the paths, and that stings in ickle Luna's paw

Is there anyone who have any advice wot to do? I have no place to shop for anything today.... Have pawwax and something we call woundpowder.

I can more or less avoid the paths (if I rememberto do so...) but just wondering if there's something I can do.....

Poor Luna
Sure it hurts but I expect it will soon heal. You will keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get infected but I don't expect it will - their feet are quite tough really.
Hugs for Luna

Aw poor Luna.

I would wash her paw in hot (not to hot) water and then protect it with "kopattesalve" (sorry guys. I dont know the english expression. Maybe J can help or I can try to explain if anyones interested) on her paw when you go out.

Use plenty of it and it will keep the salt out.
It is not dangerous for her to lick

Hi J shhh ....don't say I am here sneaked on board at work ..
salt is fine, it may sting but it is it's self a mild antipeptic, just bathe the cut in some boiled hot water it should be fine. I would not put anything else on it Luna will lick it to clean it anyway.

Ta AM

Yeah that's wot my mum suggested too.

Kopattesalve is something used on cows udders either during or after milking mechanically.... (I dont know if its before, during or after )

That's the only way I can explain it. Its a really fat cream, very good for burns, scratches, hangnails etc.... very good....
