Vet costs for spaying

what is the average cost of getting a bitch spayed?

Hi Den welcome to Dogsey.

The cost of spaying varies with larger breeds usually costing more to spay than smaller breeds. I paid £128 for a Miniature Schnauzer quite recently and that included an after visit to remove external stitches.

I paid 150 pounds a year ago for one of my Basenjis to be spayed. It will depend on size of dog and what area you are in.

As the others have already said, it does depend on the size of the dog and what area you are in, my vet charges £170 for a Shar Pei, thats London prices for ya!
